Over the years, Posh have held pre-season training camps in a variety of places, but St. George's Park was the perfect venue for 2025.
The temperatures soared into the 30s as Darren Ferguson's men arrived for the six-day stay at the home of the England National side in Burton-upon-Trent and after a double session, as well as a gym workout, the squad were suitably put through their paces.
After arriving at their base at around 11am, the first task was to meet the newest addition to the squad with Alex Bass completing the formalities on a permanent move from Notts County.
From there, it was on to the first session of the day, with Head of Sports Science Lewis Keeble putting the players through their warm-up before the coaching staff put on some tough sessions involving finishing, building play and possession-based drills.
There was plenty of good finishing on display while Bass and the other goalkeepers in the squad, also showed their capabilities with some excellent saves.
After a relatively short break, the players were back for the evening session, which continued the theme from the morning, a more tactical based 90 minutes or so in the evening sun.
Summer signing Declan Frith said: "It has been a hard but enjoyable first day. One thing I noticed straight away when I signed for the club was the real family feel, that doesn't happen everywhere, but here, you can really feel it and it is important.
"The players made me feel welcome from the first day and it has been great to get to know everyone, which will obviously continue throughout this week at St. George's Park."
